[ Project Notes ]

The proposed district hospital project is located in Serchhip, Mizoram, a centrally situated hill district known for its scenic landscapes, moderate climate, and strategic connectivity to neighboring districts, making it an important regional healthcare hub.

The design adopts a contemporary, climate-responsive architectural approach that is sensitive to the hilly terrain, organizing the hospital into stepped and terraced building forms that follow the natural contours of the site to minimize excavation and enhance stability.

The planning emphasizes clear functional zoning, with distinct blocks for emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic services interconnected through efficient circulation corridors and covered linkages to ensure smooth patient movement. Large openings, shaded façades, and landscaped courtyards are integrated to maximize natural light and ventilation while maintaining thermal comfort, creating a healing environment that is both efficient and contextually rooted in the landscape of Serchhip.
